Book Signing Today

I’ll be signing books at the Vestal, NY, Barnes and Noble today from 1:30-3:00, if anyone wants to stop by. Big bonus: A percentage of books purchased today at the store will benefit The Madrigal Choir of Binghamton.

Hope to see you!

I’m thrilled to announce that The Last Will of Moira Leahy has been named a finalist for RWA’s prestigious RITA Award in the category of Best First Book. Winners will be announced in late July at the annual RWA conference in Nashville, TN.

Q&A Day

A quick note: I’ll be at Christina Katz’s blog today answering questions about The Last Will of Moira Leahy. If you’ve read the book–or even if you haven’t and have some general questions about it, my publishing journey, my writerly habits, or even my dog’s favorite snack–please stop by and ask them in comments. It would be nice to see some familiar folks.

Write on!

I was thrilled to learn that The Last Will of Moira Leahy was chosen by January Magazine’s editor, Linda Richards, as one of the best fiction reads of 2009. See the full list HERE.

Happy New Year, everyone!

Thanks to Steve Lyon for pointing out that my radio interview with Bill Jaker is also available as a podcast through iTunes. To find it, search for WSKG, then look at the section called “Off the Page.” You’ll find us there.

I learned today that Christina Katz, The Writer Mama, who is hosting a month-long discussion of Last Will on her blog, also made a video review of the book. Have a look! Thanks for making my day, Christina!

Happy Thanksgiving!

My publicity team and I have had high hopes for The Last Will of Moira Leahy with regard to book clubs, because the book spans genres, offers twists and more. So we were thrilled to see the book listed in its first book-club poll. Should TLWML be a book club pick for readers at www.authorexposure.com? Cast your vote between now and Friday, 11/20, in the right-hand column of that website.

If you’d like a copy of The Last Will of Moira Leahy signed for the holidays, you can order one through RiverRead Books. After you fill out the checkout and payment information, be sure you add that you’d like a signed copy of the novel in the “comments” section.

Thank you, and happy reading!
